As we put the finishing touches on another tremendous year, and look toward the New Year, we at Secure Ideas wanted to take a moment to reflect upon 2018, and highlight some of what’s to come in 2019.

This past year and in 2019,  we made a concerted effort to focus on offering affordable training and education opportunities.  We’re now offering a comprehensive CISSP mentorship program that breaks the mold for security training.  The Professionally Evil CISSP Mentorship program uses multiple communication and knowledge sharing paths to build a comprehensive learning environment focused on both passing the CISSP certification, and gaining a deep understanding of the 8 domains of the ISC2 CBK.

Affordable training doesn’t stop with our CISSP mentorship program, as we offer a number of public and private courses to suit your individual or organizational needs.  Whether your team of developers is looking for a refresher on how to securely develop applications or a security practitioner would like to learn more on how to protect their network infrastructure, we have the right course for you.

We’ve also heard countless requests over the years for a more streamlined or automated approach to security testing, so we’ve been working diligently to create additional offerings that allow results to be reviewed and handled in real-time.  SWAT and Scout are our answers to those concerns.  With SWAT, we’ve created a cloud-based vulnerability triage service designed to quickly identify risk factors within an organization’s web hosts.  SWAT is unobtrusive and most importantly, 100% scalable, with the ability to handle hundreds of thousands of targets efficiently and effectively.

While Scout isn’t a new offering, it is one that is rapidly expanding. Scout is a cloud-based vulnerability assessment service that assesses networks, applications, and user awareness to help organizations maintain their security posture. These services provide ongoing vulnerability assessments to increase the visibility of an organization’s security posture.  The Scout service compliments comprehensive penetration testing, and as a subscription-based service, assessments can be scheduled and performed weekly, monthly, quarterly, or on-demand based on a frequency that aligns with the changes introduced to the organization. As a cloud-based service, Scout is able to scale along with the demands and growth of an organization.
