About Kelly
Kelly Cornell is a Security Consultant at Secure Ideas, bringing a background in vulnerability management, cybersecurity analysis, and client-focused problem solving. Her path into security has been anything but traditional. Before diving into tech, she worked in optometric clinical trial studies, served as an optometric technician, and even spent time as a restaurant server. That range of experience gave her a sharp eye for detail, adaptability, and a deep appreciation for how to work with people from all walks of life.
She made the official leap into cybersecurity through a formal bootcamp program and holds a Security+ certification, blending hands-on experience with industry-recognized credentials.
Outside of work, she’s a mom of two young kids, which means free time is a luxury — but when she finds it, you’ll usually catch her reading a good book or getting lost in a jigsaw puzzle. Folding laundry brings her a strange sense of peace, and while she’s outgoing, there’s a quiet, observant side most people don’t see right away.
