About Amanda

Amanda Gilchrist is a Senior Project Manager at Secure Ideas with nearly a decade of project management experience. Naturally curious and highly collaborative, she has a knack for untangling complexity and ambiguity and turning it into practical, people-centered solutions. Amanda takes a thoughtful approach to developing processes and PMO practices, creating enough structure to keep work moving while leaving room to adapt, learn, and improve along the way.

She believes the best processes support the people doing the work and that meaningful improvement starts with asking good questions, building strong relationships, and making progress one iteration at a time. She also enjoys making project management more approachable and showing others that it doesn’t have to be complicated, overly rigid, or full of jargon to be effective. Sometimes, the best approach is simply finding the right amount of structure to help people do their best work.

Her experience spans enterprise implementations of platforms such as Salesforce and Asana, as well as gamified learning apps and AI agents. A certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Amanda continues to deepen her expertise in change management and PMO development. She enjoys digging into the details, asking questions others might overlook, and connecting the dots between the bigger picture and the practical realities of getting work done.

When she’s not working, this New England native enjoys exploring Nashville’s live music and food scenes, hiking, kayaking, traveling, gardening, and tackling DIY projects. She’s also perfectly happy relaxing on the porch with her two dogs and an ever-growing collection of houseplants. Whether at work or at home, Amanda isn’t afraid to jump in and get her hands dirty. She enjoys learning how things work almost as much as figuring out how to make them work a little better.
